Research Based Instructional Strategy
The research based instructional strategy that I read about was " Projecting Success" it was about a teacher that used digital camera in order to enhance her students learning skills. She first showed them pictures from her life and a story that she had written that was a published piece. She told them how her short story had gotten rejected several times but that she never gave up on her writing. Though this strategy she had the students take pictures of their lives and write short stories about themselves answer several questions like how long would you write in a day and what type of things would you write about. While doing this the students not only learned to use digital camera but they learned to use writing to express themselves. How I would use this stragtey is to let the students take picture of things around them in the different seasons and then let them write poetry about what they see in the pictures of others. This would help them with their writing skills and their critical thinking skills as well.

Great, I've used digital cameras with my 5th graders, it is very motivating and they truly take ownership of the project!
